2. Vinegar + Citrus Peel Jar
How it works: White vinegar absorbs odors, and citrus peels add a fresh, clean scent.
What to do:
- Fill a small mason jar halfway with white vinegar.
- Add a handful of lemon, orange, or lime peels.
- Poke holes in the jar lid or cover it with breathable fabric.
- Place near your trash can or under the sink.
3. Essential Oil Cotton Balls
How it works: Essential oils like lemon, tea tree, eucalyptus, or lavender naturally neutralize odors and kill bacteria.
What to do:
- Soak a few cotton balls in your favorite essential oil.
- Place them in the bottom of the trash can, or tape them inside the lid.
