Place the second slice of bread on top, cut in half if you like, and serve immediately.
Tips for the Perfect Heirloom Tomato Sandwich
- Choose ripe tomatoes: Heirloom tomatoes are best when fully ripe, with vibrant color and a firm yet juicy texture.
 - Keep it simple: Let the tomatoes shine — minimal toppings allow their natural sweetness and flavor to take center stage.
 - Bread matters: Use fresh, high-quality bread for the best texture and taste. A slightly crusty loaf contrasts beautifully with the juicy tomatoes.
 - Add a twist: A sprinkle of sea salt, cracked black pepper, or even a few drops of olive oil can make a simple sandwich extraordinary.
