Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 ½ cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or a mix of oregano and basil)
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Cook the Beef and Onions
In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant. Drain any excess grease. - Add the Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. - Cook the Pasta
Add the uncooked elbow macaroni and about 1 cup of water (or broth). Stir well, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid. - Add Cheese (Optional)
If desired, stir in shredded cheese or sprinkle it on top just before serving for an extra creamy finish. - Serve Hot
Scoop into bowls and serve warm — it’s the perfect meal for a cozy night in.
