Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra texture
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal. - Mix Wet Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. - Add Dry Ingredients
Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined — be careful not to overmix, or the brownies may become cakey instead of fudgy. - Optional Add-Ins
Fold in chocolate chips or nuts for an extra layer of flavor and texture. - Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. - Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve as-is, or with a scoop of ice cream for a classic dessert experience. -
